"a man down on his luck imposes on an old friend for help much to the chagrin of both men.”
Written and produced by Michal Strauss, “Sorry, Steve” began as a complex layer of feelings and observation around social boundaries; an examination of needs and wants that don’t always match up. Combined with the efforts of her co-producers, Rowan Faris and Rob Sarmiento, as well as the astute and visionary mind of director, Brandon Spring, “Sorry, Steve” has become a moving film dissecting complex themes of needs, wants, and the disconnect between the two. In the end, audiences are left wondering if we are saying “sorry” to Steve or if he is saying it to us.

In 2021, Michal and Rowan sat down and decided it was high time they made their own films. Rowan, with almost a decade of production experience and Michal, with five years film writing experience, put their heads together and decided it was their turn to get it done. Starting with “Sorry, Steve”, they have been working with a remarkably talented and diverse group of up-and-coming filmmakers in Southern California as they continue their goal of writing, directing, and producing art with longevity and purpose.
